Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our peptide protocols, the clinical process, safety standards, and what to expect as a patient.

Peptide Protocols

A peptide protocol is a structured, physician-reviewed plan that specifies which peptide compound to use, at what dose, for how long, and how to administer it. Every protocol at RetaClinic is designed around a specific clinical goal — recovery, metabolic support, performance, longevity, cognition, and more.

Protocols are not one-size-fits-all. After you complete our intake, a licensed clinician reviews your health history and goals before anything is approved or dispensed.

Every compound in our library is reviewed against a combination of peer-reviewed research, clinical applicability, and compounding safety standards. Our doctors prescribe peptides when there is sufficient documented rationale to support.

Yes — combination protocols (like BPC-157 + TB-500 for recovery) are common and often clinically preferred. However, stack design is determined by your reviewing clinician based on your specific goals, health history, and any existing medications.

No. Research chemical peptides are sold as "not for human use" and have no compounding oversight, sterility testing, or physician involvement. Our compounds are prepared by certified compounding pharmacies under strict sterility and purity standards, dispensed only after a licensed clinician has reviewed your intake and approved the protocol.

The Process

After selecting a protocol, you complete a structured intake form covering your health history, current medications, goals, and any relevant background. A licensed clinician reviews your intake — typically within a few hours — and either approves the protocol, requests clarification, or declines if the protocol isn't appropriate for your profile.

A clinician reviews every intake before any protocol is approved. For most standard protocols, this review happens asynchronously and does not require a live call. For complex cases, a clinician may request a brief consultation call before proceeding.

Once your intake is clinician-approved, your peptides are prepared by our pharmacy partners and shipped directly to you. Typical turnaround is a few business days. You will receive tracking information for your order.

You will receive structured follow-up guidance aligned with your protocol timeline. Your doctor remains accessible for questions through your patient portal, and a clinician will respond within one business day.

Safety & Standards

We work exclusively with certified compounding pharmacies that operate under strict sterility and purity protocols. All compounds undergo batch verification before shipment.

The compounds we offer have documented research profiles and are prepared under pharmaceutical-grade conditions. No medical protocol is entirely without risk, and peptide research is still evolving. Safety is reinforced through clinician review, proper compounding, structured dosing, and follow-up monitoring.

If a clinician determines a requested protocol is not appropriate for your profile, your intake will be declined with a clear explanation. An alternative protocol may be suggested. We would rather decline than dispense something that isn't right for you.

Prescribing & Legal

Yes. All peptide protocols dispensed through RetaClinic require a clinician prescription, issued by our reviewing clinician after your intake is approved. You do not need to obtain a prescription elsewhere — this is handled within our process.

Pricing & Orders

Each protocol price includes the compounded compound, clinician intake review, and follow-up support guidance. There are no hidden fees, commitment requirements, or subscription charges unless you choose to continue on a recurring plan.

Yes. If your clinician review results in a declined intake, you are fully refunded for the protocol cost. You are only charged for a protocol that has been approved and prepared for dispensing.

Yes. You can pause or discontinue a protocol at any time through your patient portal. If your compound has not yet shipped, a full refund is available upon cancellation request.

Initial and follow-up consultations for refills are free. The clinician intake review is included in the protocol price. There is no separate fee to speak with a clinician about whether a protocol may be right for you.

Getting Started

Browse our Peptide Catalog or read the Peptide Guide — which explains every compound we offer, what it does, and what the research shows. From there you can add a protocol to your cart and start a free physician consult.

Yes — but this is assessed case-by-case during the clinician intake review. Disclose all current medications in your intake form. The reviewing clinician will assess potential interactions and either proceed, modify the protocol, or decline if contraindications exist. Accurate disclosure is critical for your safety.

Most compounds are administered via subcutaneous injection using a small insulin-style syringe. Your protocol start guide includes step-by-step instructions, and your Care Team is available to walk you through it on a call if needed. Some compounds are available in alternative delivery formats.
